Below are questions my clients have asked. Hopefully they will help clear up some of the questions you might have. Please be aware that I am not a Licensed Medical Doctor. If you have any concerns about your medicines or health, please consult your Medical Doctor.
1. What should be my calorie intake?
Dr. Simeons does not give a guideline for less. My experience shows most people do the best if they keep there calories around 1800-2000 a day.
2. What about exercise in Phase 3?
Exercise all you want. The only reason we don’t want you to overdue exercise on Phase 2 is that on such a low calorie diet, if you are exercising to much it will put your body under stress. When your body is under stress it tends to want to hold on to weight, not release it.
3. I have been off drops for a week and recently ate a lot of wrong foods due to holiday festivities, how do I remedy this?
Normally if you mess up in Phase 3 you want to do a steak day the very next day. If it has only been a day I would still do one. On a steak day you drink liquid all day long and then have the largest steak you can eat for dinner with either tomato’s or 1 apple. It will cleanse your body enough to usually lose 3-4 pounds from a sudden weight gain. How Dr. Simeons figured that out I don’t know but it works. If you cheat at all on adding other things it does not work. Trust me I have put it to the test. It is a quick way to get back on track. I’m actually planned a steak day for the day after a Holiday that I knew I was going to eat stuff I shouldn’t. If you wait to long it will take many days of dieting to lose the same weight.
4. I am off the drops now…and I had terrible leg cramps last night… do
you have any idea what could be causing this?
Phase 2 naturally detoxes you and you need minerals. I would google foods that are high in potassium and magnesium. Also get some ConcenTrace Trace Mineral Drops in my store. You add them to your water and most people notice a huge improvement in leg cramps. Lack of minerals also contributes to aging. You add 10 drops to a 16 oz. water bottle. If you add to many it will taste salty. If you eat bananas be very careful as they are very high in sugar and should be used extremely sparingly in Phase 3.
5. So I stopped my injections last Tues. and finished the 72 hours on Friday. On Tuesday I was 114.8. On Friday morning I was 115.5. On Saturday morning I was 116.5. And now this morning I am 118.5. That is almost 4 lbs I have put on since last injection 4 days ago. I am absolutely beside myself with frustration. What am I doing wrong? I know I need to do a steak day, but after that will I continue to gain? I only lost 10lbs as it is, and am now a little over 5lbs from being there again. Please help me understand how to correct what I’ve worked so hard for.
You are not doing anything wrong. You are not stable yet and you will not be until you finish the maintenance phases. It is normal to gain a few pounds. It is also extremely important to do a steak day right away if you gain more than 2 lbs. If you wait, it will take longer to get it off. I always had to do a steak day the first week no matter how good I was. It would be wise to also evaluate what you ate. You want to mostly eat like phase 2 except double your protein and vegetables and add a little fat. Hi sugar fruits (bananas, etc.) you want to avoid or limit especially the first week. Are you eating several small meals? Skipping meals is not the answer. In phase 3 you are getting your digestion and metabolism stabilized which is why it is so important. This is a process of learning about you. This is normal for a lot of people. Pay attention to what you are eating and your digestion and get back with me.
6. What nuts are safe for Phase 3?
You need to be careful, especially at the start of Phase 3 with nuts. I love them and can eat them all day. Almonds are the safest, cashews the worst. I try to stick to almond butter but also love peanut butter. Just do it in modest amounts and see how you react.
7. When beginning phase 3, you say slowly add nuts and dairy. Does that mean 1 serving? How many nuts, 1 oz? I am missing yogurt or kefir and not sure if adding 1 cup will be OK.
As I stated above almonds are the safest or even pine nuts are good. I would start with only 8-12. Be careful with yogurt that has sugar in it. I use Greek Yogurt now which I love with berries on it. Even though everyone is different, pay attention to the scale and be advised that it is the norm to go up a couple of pounds. You are not stable yet. Most importantly just make sure you are getting plenty of vegetables and protein.
8.Do you always need to correct with steak day if over 2 lbs?
It comes off very slowly if you don’t. However, you shouldn’t need to do more than a couple in Phase 3. If you are needing to do one more than once a week you need to figure out what you are doing to cause it. I’ve also lost it by cutting back on calories, fat, cheese and nuts but it will take a lot longer.
10. I am currently taking a Pre-Natal Multi-Vitamin Supplement even though it’s been a couple of days since I stopped breast feeding. Should I keep taking them or switch to a different type of vitamin?
Multi-vitamins are very good for you. The main thing you need to do on supplements is start reading labels. Your main concern is phase 2 and 3 is avoiding sugar and starch. Many vitamins have fillers in them that are made of these. Cellulose is a sugar. Most capsules have cellulose in the actual capsule so it doesn’t gum up the machines that fill them. If you are using your own just be aware of the ingredients.

I’ve done HCG in the past. I’ve always been told you can have any meat and cheese in Phase 3? Is this a mistake? It is definetly something I look forward to during Phase 2.
Yes you can. Just watch the scale because you will react to certain ones more than others. Remember it is normal to go up a few pounds even if you are eating very good. Just pay attention and try something different the next day.
I have a question-I’m doing the 18 day program. I’m supposed to start transition phase in 2 days. However my period came 6 days early.I will be 4 days into my period when I start transition phase and my periods normally last 7 days. Meaning I will be on the last day when I enter p3. Can I start and complete transition if I still have my period? Or must I wait until my period is over to start that phase?
