The first two days of Phase 2 are considered your load days. During your load days you are taking the HCG and gorging on as much food as possible. On the 3rd day of phase 2 you start the 500 calorie diet or very low calorie diet (VLCD). Once you have completed a minimum of 21 days on the VLCD, you stop taking the HCG and continue on the VLCD for another 72 hours. At the end of the 72 hours you start Phase 3.
